“ Every single dossier, newspaper article, scientific paper, military action report… even camera instructions – all needed to be hand-written. ”

Hand-Made
Due to various constraints, we created everything you see in these films in-house – often, literally, by hand. Ink splotches. A plethora of scrawled scribbles. Crumpled black tape and fist-clamped marker-swipes.
Hundreds of different textures, layers and tools were all scanned and then integrated into the tapestry timeline of every film’s animation.

Copy on Copy

The affluent fictional town of Avalon featured a 7 course menu with a Michelin star dish called: ‘Simply Sea Water’
A new chemical compound mistakenly built between chemical gas and Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) was stumbled upon by a professor in a New Mexican research lab.
Every time I got to watch the team working on the graphics, they would deliberate over each pixel with the quizzical analysis of a sculptor, it was only right that each word was treated with the same amount of care.
